Event & Community Manager at Saysky
Copenhagen, Denmark | Events & Community across Europe
Please note - the role is based at SAYSKY HQ in Copenhagen. We do not consider remote applicants for this position.
If you love the energy of race weekends, early morning shakeouts, and the culture around running – this role might be for you. At SAYSKY, events are more than just start lines and finish arches; from race expos to unique community activations, we enjoy adding personality to running and creating experiences that go beyond the usual formula. And we don’t outsource the fun – everything is handled in-house by our team, from the first idea to the final execution, and you’ll be right at the center of it all.
We’re now looking for an Event & Community Manager to join the SAYSKY team in Copenhagen and help us plan, coordinate, and execute these experiences while continuing to grow the SAYSKY worldwide running tribe.
THE ROLE
As Event & Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing SAYSKY’s events across Europe, while also supporting the development of our global running community. You will report directly to the CMO.
Each year you will be directly involved in managing approximately 20–25 events, including race expos, shakeouts, social runs, races, and community activations.
The role requires strong project management and planning skills, and the ability to manage many moving parts – both internally and externally. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the company as well as external partners, crews, and event staff to ensure events run smoothly and represent the SAYSKY brand in the best possible way.
Because SAYSKY manages events end-to-end in-house, the role requires someone who enjoys taking ownership and getting hands-on – from early planning and concept development through execution and post-event follow-up to help refine and improve future editions.
Events involve many stakeholders and dependencies, so being comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with many loose ends – while maintaining structure, flexibility, and overview – is essential.

- The busiest periods are typically spring (March–May) and Fall (September-October) when many major race expos take place
- Weekend work and longer event days will occur, but time off in lieu is provided
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has 2–3+ years of hands-on experience managing events, ideally with end-to-end responsibility
- Is highly organized and comfortable running multiple projects at the same time
- Naturally takes ownership and make things happen – even when plans change
- Works confidently with budgets, Excel, and planning tools
- Communicates clearly and comfortably with both internal teams and external partners
- Is a natural extrovert, as you’ll often find yourself in front of a lot of people
- Thrives in a dynamic environment with many loose ends, and a never ending to-do-list
- Enjoys being both the planner and the person making things happen on the ground
- Languages: English is required, Danish is a plus
A genuine interest in running culture and the lifestyle surrounding the sport is a strong advantage. SAYSKY is deeply connected to the global running community, and this role interacts with that world on a daily basis.
